RFI (Regeneration Field Institute)
A hub for research and hands-on learning, hosting trainings for local and international students, farmers and educators while advancing ecosystem restoration and sustainable bamboo infrastructure.
Bamboo R&D
At RFI there are workshops, tools, and a community of master bamboo builders who contribute to the production of prototype structural elements and machine trials.
Agroforestry
RFI is based at Los Arboleros Farm, a 70 acre regenerative agroforestry operation with bamboo, cacao agroforestry and rotational grazing research and demonstration /production sites.
Wildlife Restoration
More than 30% of RFI’s campus is dedicated to wildlife conservation corridors that connect ecosystem remnants of the farm and also of neighboring properties. Through camera trap and soil studies RFI measure the ecosystem regeneration in real time.
